Jonas Yamer is a multifaceted artist, encompassing roles as a musician, DJ, and producer. His DJ sets are dynamic and genre-defying, drawing inspiration from the realms of driving techno, groovy rhythms, and occasionally incorporating industrial elements. Depending on the setting, his performances also explore ambient, deconstructed club, and bass music. Jonas is a regular at Munich's renowned Blitz Club. With his extensive DJ experience, he has held a residency at Munich's MMA club before.
In addition to his DJ career, Jonas serves as the bassist and producer for the band Carl Gari. Notably, he has played a key role in the creation and production of all albums released by Carl Gari & Abdullah Miniawy, which have received high praise from respected media outlets such as Pitchfork, The Wire Magazine, Resident Advisor, TAZ and NPR. The group's ventures have led to performances at prestigious venues like the ICA London, Haus der Kunst, and Berlin Atonal.
Since 2015, Jonas has been the driving force behind Molten Moods, an imprint being mentioned as "one of the brightest labels in Germany" by Electronic Beats. Moreover, after completing his studies in philosophy, he furthered his education in the class of Julian Rosefeldt at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, where he continues to expand his artistic horizons in the field of video art. Most recently, he, alongside Rosa Anschütz and Till Funke, formed the band Spoil.
